Grow your commercial flooring business in the market you know, with open territory and a team that handles installation.
PRAX is recruiting Commercial Flooring Sales Producers for a commercial and industrial flooring contractor. Our client is looking for experienced outside sales professionals who already generate and close their own work and have established relationships in their market.
You’ll manage the sale from the first conversation through pricing and close. The company supports you with takeoffs, estimating, and proposal preparation, then manages subcontracted installation and back-office operations.
The work
You’ll sell epoxy and resinous flooring systems, polished concrete, industrial coatings, LVT, carpet tile, and other resilient flooring. You’ll pursue bid and negotiated work with general contractors and sell directly to owners through operations leaders, project managers, and project engineers.
What you’ll do
- Generate your own opportunities and manage your pipeline, schedule, and customer relationships.
- Lead job walks, assess site conditions, and recommend flooring systems that fit the project.
- Price and close work using the company’s rate card and quoting standards.
- Build or maintain relationships with local installation crews that can meet the company’s insurance and subcontractor requirements.
- Work with the bid and operations teams to hand off sold projects for installation.
What you’ll bring
- Current outside sales experience selling commercial or industrial flooring for a competing contractor.
- An established book of business and active customer relationships in your market.
- Verifiable annual sales volume you personally generated and closed, with the ability to explain your product mix.
- The ability to prospect, run job walks, price work, and close independently.
- Local installation crew relationships or the ability to build them quickly.
- A willingness to learn and follow the company’s sales process, products, pricing, and quoting standards.
Candidates complete a Culture Index survey as part of the hiring process.
Pay and benefits
- A base salary while you get up and running. You’ll have a temporary base salary while you learn the company’s pricing, get to know the team, and start bringing in work.
- 26% of gross profit after ramp-up.
- $300 monthly vehicle allowance. The allowance is paid through regular payroll.
- Health coverage. The company covers your share of the health insurance premium for your first two months.
- A team behind every sale. You own the customer relationship and close the work. The company supports you with takeoffs and proposals, manages installation, and covers the cost of installation errors and warranty rework.
Benefits are provided by the hiring company and are subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
Where you’ll work
This is a nationwide search with open territory and no relocation required. The company is also hiring in additional markets where producers have established relationships. You’ll prospect and visit jobsites in the market you serve.
This is a direct hire with our client. Apply through this posting with your résumé or LinkedIn profile.
